  1. The Viennese Georg Eckmayr is an artist, researcher and lecturer.

    He studied digital art at the class of Peter Weibel under whose supervision he also completed and defended his doctoral thesis on digital images.

>> How does medical technology shape the status of humanity

           The question above was the lead for this project, which included investigations in different medical institutions: An Hospital, a provider of human tissue for reconstructive surgery and a fertility clinic. Theoretical Background was G. Agambens Concept of the Anthropological Machine.

            Fragment of the documentation Menschnematerial. It is about the whole process of tissue donation for medical purposes. The film follows the single steps from the removal, the transportation, the cleaning, the storage and finally the use of this human body made product.
