Flatbedscans, C-Prints, mounted on aluminum / 2008
>> A firm grip.

I did these prints with a scanner. Contrary to photography, in this process the apparatus is in touch with the object, within the intimate space of the person and in contact with the material of the object depicted. Digital manipulation at a basic level happens while the picture is being taken. Every movement, of the person / object and / or the scanner, produces a distortion of the image. These movements create an unspace. This crucial and sometimes absurd relation between physical space and digital space is part of this imaging concept.
